Papa ke Pare | A Pomedy Show

December 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Sector 49, Gurugram

Some people do one thing all their lives, while some do all the things in one. You must have seen a myriad of people taking up unconventional careers. You must have even read about their accomplishments over and over again. You must have heard "I would like to thank my mom and dad" in their award speeches. Ever wondered what their parents actually say at home? Do all families encourage their kids to pursue extraordinary careers? India produces 1.5 million engineers each year. That should be a hint! Imagine yourself being a performing artist who rocked a show with a 500+ audience. You reach home only to hear Punjabi expletives from your dad for being late.

You must have heard of ma ke lal and papa ki pari. Upholding our strong belief in gender equality, we bring you "Papa ke Pare". It is a pomedy show, a unique blend of poetry and comedy. It gives you a sneak peek into the lives of two performing artists - their effort to make a mark, their artistry with words, and comments received from Papa along the way. It is full of intellectually stimulating and unapologetically humorous anecdotes, jokes and poems.

We have on board, Gaurav and Arpan, who have been performing poetry for 4 years with 400+ shows each under their belt. This duo has staged multiple sellout poetry shows in Delhi-NCR. They have worked with several organizations like UN, UNESCO, Tinder, Wittyfeed, Xiaomi, Airtel, etc.

  • Arpan Khosla is the original pomedian from Delhi who left his job to become an artist and entrepreneur. He writes about the 5 deadly diseases of human life - Cigarette, Alcohol, Engineering, Unemployment, and one-sided love. His ghazal "Na Samajh" got viral with 1M+ views & he has been featured by over 20+ news websites like TOI, HT, The Talented Indian & MH1 TV channel.
  • Gaurav is an engineer, a clinical psychologist, an analytics manager, and a spoken word poet. He performs poetry on subjects which politicians, media, cinema, parents and your babu should talk about but don't. He brings elements from psychology, biology, laws, environment, everyday life and his office to the stage with poetry, humor, and sarcasm. His viral videos "Kardata" and "Mai Khwaab bade dekhta hun" garnered millions of views.

Here's what to expect:

·     Rolling in the aisles

·     Unique blend of comedy and poetry

·     Bump into like-minded individuals

Come over for an evening full of humor from around the corner with situations so real, that you'll go crazy!
