Have you ever looked at a piece of art and wished you could draw or paint like that? If you've caught yourself scrolling through events and found it too intimidating but wanted to learn something new- you've come to the right place!
This will be a four session event. Pay ₹350 for all four sessions! It's a steal :)
First session (23rd May 2020, 4:00 pm) :
We will learn how to make a Madhubani Bookmark. Madhubani Painting is one of the most famous art of Bihar mostly practiced in Mithila and some other parts of Bihar. This unique style of art was used by the women to decorate their house walls and doors in order to seek God's blessing in the form of prosperity and peace.
Second session (30th May 2020, 4:00 pm) :
We will learn some Kalamkari art.The word Kalamkari is derived from a Persian word where 'kalam' means pen and 'kari' refers to craftsmanship.
Third session (6th June 2020, 4:00 pm) :
We will learn Warli Art. Warli painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in India.
Fourth session (13th June 2020, 4:00 pm) :
We will learn Pichwai art. Pichwai or ‘pichvai’ is one of the most spectacular and ancient forms of art with its origin being the land of culture ie India. Pichwai paintings have their roots in Nathdwara Rajasthan. The stunning art form is a 400-year-old art one which was created depicting the beautiful life of Lord Krishna.
